On 22–23 March 2026, the Hong Kong International Cultural Summit returns with a bold premise: A New Era: Reimagining Community through the Arts.

For two days, cultural leaders, museum directors, and multidisciplinary thinkers will confront the realities of our moment.

West Kowloon Cultural District, one of the most ambitious cultural developments of our time. Home to M+ and Hong Kong Palace Museum, alongside the striking Xiqu Centre and the experimental energy of Freespace, it has already reshaped the cultural geography of Asia.

In conversation with Audrey Freeman just days after Genesis.

@audstarfreeman is the founder of Maison Enclave, a performance art house where ballet intersects with fashion, digital art, and immersive sound.

No velvet curtains.
No distant stage.
Industrial spaces instead. Bodies moving within arm’s reach.

Its debut production, Genesis, premiered in Paris last week to a sold-out audience, a collision of choreography, Rick Owens costumes, and radical minimal scenography.

This is only the first chapter of an evolving project, reclaiming proximity, dissolving hierarchy, and redefining where and how ballet can exist.

Ryuichi Sakamoto at M+

This February, M+ presents Ryuichi Sakamoto @skmtgram | seeing sound, hearing time — a thoughtful and deeply moving tribute to an artist who changed the way we understand sound.

Seeing Sound, Hearing Time revisits Sakamoto’s late work through async–immersion (2023), a large-scale installation translating his 2017 album async into spatial construction.

Also on view: new moving-image works by Carsten Nicolai, known as Alva Noto, set to music from Sakamoto’s final album 12.
